Animal Keeper: Under the direction of the Curator and Lead Keeper, the Animal Keeper will perform daily care of native Alaskan wildlife. Duties include cleaning, training, feeding as well as maintaining grounds and facility appearance. Applicant must have excellent communication and observation skills; the ability to record and relay information regarding animal diet, health, behavior and overall welfare to supervisors. This position may also be required to help with Education talks/programs on occasion, especially during slower months.

This position will work directly with the AWCC’s wildlife, and will represent the AWCC at programs and presentations in the event assistance is needed from the Education Department.

Retail Clerk: Under the direction of the Retail Manager, retail clerk positions are responsible for selling merchandise in the AWCC retail gift shop. Duties include assisting customers, performing inventory, assisting with stocking and cleaning of displays, and more.

Admissions Agent: Under direction of the Admissions Manager, Admission Agents are responsible for inputting daily transactions of visitors, commercial tour operators, and special events participants; Accountability of money handling transactions within company policies without supervision, and more.

Seasonal Naturalist: Under the direction of the Director of Education, the Seasonal Naturalist will provide interpretive and educational opportunities for guests, lead daily driving tours, aid in maintaining sanctuary present-ability and safety, have training and assist with animal care duties, and support year-round staff as needed.
