Assistant Maintenance Manager: Full-time, year-round. Under the Direction of the Projects and Maintenance Manager, the Assistant Maintenance Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the maintenance staff. This includes, but is not limited to, custodial duties, grounds, facilities and building maintenance, fleet oversight and general construction. The Assistant Maintenance Manager is responsible for supporting the Maintenance Manager with on-boarding and training new maintenance personnel, and acts as a liaison for capital improvement projects should the Maintenance Manager not be present. They will clearly communicate with all AWCC staff and work closely with department managers to ensure safe operations. $60,000 annual salary DOE. Additional benefits available for Full Time/Year-Round employees include health care premium paid in-full by the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center as well as 2-weeks paid time off plus ten paid holidays. Seasonal Retail Clerk: Full-time, Seasonal. Role is for March 1st to August 1st. This position is responsible for daily transactions for AWCC visitors in the retail shop. Retail duties include customer support, operating registers, restocking inventory, processing retail transactions, daily cleaning duties, tagging of inventory and other tasks as assigned. Seasonal Admissions Clerk: Full-time, Seasonal. Role is for April 15th – September 15th​. This position is responsible for daily transactions for AWCC visitors in the ticket booth. Admissions duties include greeting visitors, correctly inputting daily transactions of individuals, commercial tour operators, cash handling, daily cleaning tasks, operating gates, handling high volume of guests, relaying rules and regulations of facility to all guests and special event participants.
