May is right around the corner and here at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, we are excited to see blue skies, green grass, and the smiling faces of visitors.

May kicks off our daily summer programs that include a variety of our animals and longer hours of operation. Starting May 1st, AWCC is open daily from 8:30 am to 8 pm, with last entry at 7 pm. Forget-Me-Knot food truck will be on-site this summer with food available for purchase. Here is our summer daily animal program list:

If you love wildlife or are visiting and still have not seen a moose in the wild, take a trip down to Portage and stop in to see our resident animals. Learn about their diet, behaviors, and how they came to be at the Center.

Want to learn more about our animals and get an up-close experience with wildlife? Participate in a Walk on the Wild Side tour where your personal guide will walk you through the Center; offer history, animal details, and you will get the chance to feed two animals! Book a tour today!
