We’ll have holiday cookies, hot cocoa, and plenty of other holiday treats. The AWCC will also be hosting a canned food drive benefiting the Food Bank of Alaska and Girdwood Pantry. Donate 5 cans for free admission per person. See you there!

Back by popular demand, AWCC is hosting our Animal Enrichment Workshops again!
Do you want to help create enrichment toys for our animals alongside our knowledgeable staff? Then you’ll love AWCC’s event series: Animal Enrichment Workshop! On the first Sunday of every month from October through April, AWCC is hosting animal enrichment workshops in Bison Hall. The three-hour workshop will concentrate on constructing enrichment items and learning about our resident animals from our expert animal care staff.
This event is a great opportunity to help create enrichment “toys” that will engage, stimulate, and entertain our animals all winter long. Children of all ages are welcome, so bring the family by for a fun-filled day!
The Animal Enrichment Workshop is $30 per person and includes project materials, admission, and catered lunch. Participants must RSVP in advance because space is limited. Click here to register for the event.
*Dates subject to change.
Please read our cancellation policy. If you or your party are not able to attend the workshop, you must cancel at least 72 hours in advance to receive a full refund. If you cancel less than 72 hours your purchase is non-refundable. Please be respectful, this workshop helps AWCC build needed enrichment items for our resident animals and space is limited. We appreciate all the volunteers who dedicate their time to support us. Please email info@alaskawildlife.org or call 907-783-0058 to cancel your tickets.
The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center thanks the men and women of the Armed Forces. To show our appreciation, we are offering free admission on the first Monday of each month from November through April to all active duty and retired military personnel and their dependents. *Must present proof of military service, with ID or paystub at the time of purchase.
