Photography for the Novelist and Professional Alike!

Visitors from all around the world flock to Alaska, seemingly as another migratory species, for the summer season in search of the outdoors and wildlife. The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center (AWCC) is well known for offering natural, albeit safe, wildlife photography and filming that attracts professionals and novelists alike.

Having just wrapped a national television commercial for American Express with photographer, Paul Nicklen, AWCC Executive Director, Mike Miller, states, “Filming and photography projects present such a unique opportunity for our non-profit and the natural exhibits present an exceptional experience for visitors and photographers.”

Over the years, the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center has worked on major motion pictures, television shows and commercials, as well as photo shoots. Media opportunities at the Wildlife Center have included working with; Jack Hanna, Sean Penn, Jeff Corwin, Vanessa Hudgens, Jim Fowler, and Paul Nicklen to name a few.

Executive Director Mike Miller states, “By providing a large natural space, it is easier for our bears to display natural behaviors.” Miller continued by saying, “Our 21 acre enclosure provides a safe and controlled location for photos and filming of an otherwise dangerous animal.”
