Come to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center for an exciting, up-close, animal experience!

The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center hosted over 1,500 students last year for a one-of-a-kind field trip and up-close porcupine experience. Education is an important part of AWCC’s mission, and we are constantly working to provide education in various forms throughout the year. At the Wildlife Center, our expert staff provides education to hundreds of visitors who enter our gates every day. Through interactive displays, animal presentations, on-site animal care staff, and special events, we work daily to provide educational opportunities to our visitors about the animals found at the center. We believe it is our duty to provide interesting forms of education to our visitors about our animals, Alaska, conservation, ecology and more. From these on-site programs to school programs in and out of the school to specialized programs, we offer a variety of educational opportunities. In conjunction with the Alaska Department of Fish & Game, Bear Trust International and the Anchorage School District, AWCC is highly committed to education, research and promoting positive movements within ecology and conservation.

We look forward to hosting your class on a field trip and sharing our knowledge of Alaska animals. Interested in booking a field trip? Book here!
