Join in the 2018 Cook Inlet Belugas Count!

Saturday, September 15th from 10 am to 5 pm, NOAA Fisheries and Beluga Whale Alliance are hosting the second annual Cook Inlet Belugas Count! This event brings together citizens to focus on the endangered Cook Inlet beluga whales, fostering local pride, awareness and stewardship.

In 2017, nearly 2,000 folks attended and participated in the event and stations across the Turnagain Arm AND 260 belugas were sighted.

From 10 am to 2 pm, join one of the various view stations and help count whales! The AWCC viewing station will be located at The Point, signs will mark the location, we will have a shuttle transporting guests from the Gift Store to the Point and will offer binoculars for guests to spot. In Bison Hall from 10 am to 3 pm, AWCC will be hosting a variety of beluga station and activities. Fun for families and all ages.

AWCC viewing stations and activity booths in Bison Hall are free to participate in with admission.
