Travel Alaska recently published a great blog post detailing five of the best bear viewing spots throughout Alaska. We’re proud to announce that the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center was included on their list!

The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center offers a unique bear-viewing experience like nothing else in Alaska. Guests can come view our rescued brown and black bears from our “Bears Boardwalk”. This elevated walkway provides a birds-eye view into their spacious habitats. All of our bears have their own unique personalities and this vantage point makes for the perfect opportunity to snap photos of their shenanigans. Our staff and interpretive signage helps add to the experience by shedding light on the natural history of our bears. In addition, guests will learn how they came to call the AWCC home. Interested in getting up-close and personal with JB, Patron, and Hugo? Sign up for our summer Bear Encounter program! During this experience, guests will participate in our bears’ feeding and enrichment training.

Thank you, Travel Alaska, for including the AWCC in your article! You can learn more about bear viewing in Alaska by visiting Travel Alaska’s blog post: https://www.travelalaska.com/GetInspired/Blog/August-2020.aspx
