It is June and that marks the start of animal encounters at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center! We have two encounters to chose from, the moose encounter and the carnivore encounter.
The moose encounter allows visitors to get up-close and personal with our bull moose! Visitors are able to feed the moose browse right out of their hand while being guided by a member of our animal care staff. During this exciting 30 minutes, visitors will also learn about our resident moose; diet, behavior, wild counterparts and have the chance to ask questions. Offered daily at 10:30 am.
Get an up-close and personal experience with AWCC’s resident brown bears this summer! Participate in their daily training and feeding all while learning about bear behavior and diet. This 30-minute program is offered daily (rain or shine) at 5 pm from June 1 to September 30. Reserve tickets online today or call 907-783-0058 to purchase tickets. Space is limited to 10 people.
