Daily Events
AWCC staff provides fun events throughout the summer!
Whether it be viewing a moose calf feeding, or walking with Hershey the rambling reindeer, there is something for you!
These events occur throughout the day – be sure to check the event boards throughout the Center for updated information!
This summer, AWCC is pleased to offer the following activities:
Prickley Points about Porcupines! Join our intern naturalist for an interesting session with Snickers, our resident porcupine! You’ll learn all about his life – what he eats, what his habits, and you can put to rest that nasty rumor that these little fellows shoot their quills!

Moose & Musk Ox Calf Bottle Feeding: Our interns feed the calves at the Center several times a day, and the schedule varies, but what a great experience! The intern naturalists will be available for questions and will give a demonstration as to how these little ones are cared for and fed.
Hershey the Rambling Reindeer: Several times a day, our resident reindeer, Hershey is taken for a walk around the Center with an intern naturalist. Join in the fun and stroll around the Center and chat with our staff about Hershey and the other caribou that make their home here.
