Animals
Our animals at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center are our greatest ambassadors! Most of the animals that have come to AWCC were either orphaned or injured. With consent from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, animals are taken in, treated and rehabilitated. Depending on their individual case and condition, they may be released back into the wild, transferred to another facility, or given a permanent home at the Center.
Curator's Corner
Our conservation curator, Jordan Schaul, PhD has compiled some more in depth animal profiles, and worked with top biologists in the field and other animal experts to add some of their personal stories and information to them. Want to learn more about our animals? Check out these expanded profiles!
