AK Department of Fish & Game collects baby moose
We're sad to say goodbye to Baby Billie the moose. Originally named "Bill" the Center was planning on giving this little one a home for life. Sadly, after a follow up visit from the vet - "Bill" became "Billie" or "Belle". Because this moose is a female, AWCC can no longer keep it. Today, the Moose Federation and Department of Fish & Game came to collect Baby Billie.
Moose Calf moved for public viewing
AWCC continues to care for this rescued moose calf. She has been moved to an enclosure where he can be publicly viewed, so be sure to come visit! She also remains without a name - AWCC is seeking sponsors for the care of this little girl - please contact us if you are interested - ethan@alaskawildlife.org. This time of year, please remember not to touch or capture any wild animals.
